Real & Simple:
I get time is precious and I don’t want to waste yours. Here is my pricing. I also understand weddings are a balance of budgets and also priorities. Photography is one of those things that has a wide range of pricing.
If you are searching for the best deal, or someone to show up and just get the job done without much thought, I will probably not be the best fit for your wedding day. Totally ok though! This is your wedding and you should get what you want. If I were being paid just to show up and press a button, I would honestly be wayyy overpriced.
I only book a limited number of weddings per year, so I am never double booked over a weekend. Your wedding is priority to me, I respect your investment and will show up excited and energized on your wedding day. You’ll never see me posting on Instagram how tired I am and pushing through a double wedding weekend. This is your wedding, you deserve the best.
I have my pricing the way it is for many reasons. I want people who are teachers, or basically not making 100k + per year to be able to afford my wedding coverage, and those who really want full coverage and to invest in photos have that option. But, my dog really loves his organic chicken jerky treats and we need to pay for our a/c in the Texas summers. Photography is my livelihood and I really want to work with couples who love photography and want a great experience too.

What’s your photo style?
Not too serious, or formal. Understated. Simple. Classic, but modern. Film inspired. I embrace grain, blur, lightness, the dark & moody, and imperfection. I look for lightness and joy, but not the sugar sweet kind. Very heavily documentary style inspired by simple, in-between moments.
Do you only shoot film?
Nope. I photograph digital as well. Each wedding has different lighting, but whenever I can take out one of my old school film cameras I will. When we have a few minutes to slow down- like right after you put on your dress, or during your formal portraits I like to photograph a few rolls of film. If you love film, please let me know! But every wedding will have some film photographs.
Do you make the albums?
Yes I do! Each book is custom designed for each couple. You can add them to your wedding package upfront, but I also understand it’s hard to commit to photos you haven’t even seen yet, so albums can be ordered after your wedding as well.
And with prints and albums, you are not obligated to order through me. You can print and make albums wherever, but I do highly recommend ordering through me. I am a professional and have access to the highest quality albums and printers.
We really want the focus to be on candid moments, but we would still like family portraits. Can you take those?
I understand wanting to remember all the “in-between” moments, but some traditions are important. We can definitely set aside time for some natural, family portraits for you to have. I highly recommend it actually.
We are shy and aren’t comfortable being on camera, will that be a problem?
Not a problem. A lot of us feel that way. Hopefully after the first half hour you won’t even notice my camera anymore. For the most part I’ll be documenting your day without intruding, or putting you into any awkward poses.
During the portraits of you two I’ll give you a little bit of direction so you never feel lost, but my aim is to keep things simple and let you be your natural selves.
We aren’t sure how much coverage we need?
Totally ok! You can adjust your coverage as your plans start falling into place and you work out your timeline.
Do we need to meet you for a chat?
It’s not necessary, but we can if that will make you feel more comfortable. We can meet before you book, or closer to your wedding day to work through your timeline. I am more than happy to meet you here in Dallas, Texas either for a morning coffee or evening wine/beer on a weekday (no weekends, sorry!)
How will we get our images?
I shoot some film at almost every session, so it takes a little bit of time for me to mail film off to a lab and get them back.
Your images will be delivered (web sized and high resolution) in an online gallery for download, sharing, and ordering prints no later than 10 weeks after your wedding. You will also receive a print collection in the mail of all your images printed in an heirloom wooded box. A USB can be purchased a la carte if you would like one.
Portrait sessions take up to 4 weeks for delivery!
How long should we leave for portraits?
It depends on a few things, but in general for bride and groom portraits about 30 minutes is great. I find it best to keep portraits simple and natural by staying nearby and relevant to your wedding. We can also break up your portrait session into two sections to make sure you aren’t away from your guests for an extended period of time. Add in a little extra time for family and bridal party (if you have one) portraits. In total, around 1- 1.5 hours can fit in all the portraits.
How do we get the most out of you?
Picking the right wedding photographer for your day is a little bit of a leap of faith. I tend to do my best work when you allow me to document your day as it naturally unfolds. There are certain moments that are part of every wedding that I will know to capture- the first kiss, detail shots, etc. I will also ask you about your wedding and important people who may not be obvious that you would like for me to focus on. If I am given really specific shots you think you have to have, I will not be able to be in the moment and capture things as they happen. The raw, unrehearsed, not planned moments always have the most soul to them.
Are you available for weddings outside of Dallas?
Absolutely! Depending on where your wedding will be, I usually just ask for my flight, rental car and accommodations to be covered.
How do we book you for our wedding?
A 40% non-refundable downpayment will be needed and a signed contract to reserve your date. Any additional travel fees are due at the time of booking too. The rest of the payment is due one month before your wedding, or one week before your portrait session.
